Skagway Arts Council classes continue in the month of January
Evening art classes sponsored by the Skagway Arts Council will continue in January, beginning on January 7th. Taught by Eve Griffin, this month’s classes will offer drawing and painting lessons on alternate Monday evenings, from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the Skagway School. Drawing classes are for ages 14 and up and will be offered on January 7th and 21st. All ages are welcome for painting classes on the 14th and 28th. Everyone is welcome, materials are provided or bring your own if you like, and no “talent”, drawing ability, or prior art experience is needed!
The charge for each evening class will be $7.00, payable at the door. If you become a member of the Arts Council (individual $10.00 per year, also payable at the door), you get a $2.00 discount on each class! The Skagway Arts Council provides scholarships for those who cannot afford class fees. To apply, fill out a scholarship application form. These can be printed from the Skagway Arts Council website at SkagwayArtsCouncil.blogspot.com, or call Eve at 983-2653 to obtain one.
