More art workshops ahead
The Arts Council is offering two separate weekly progressive art classes taught by local artist Eve Griffin beginning Monday, November 26 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the school. Drawing classes will be held on Monday evenings and painting classes will be held on Tuesday evenings during the same hours, and both will run for the next four to six weeks. All levels and ages welcome; $7 per class/$5 for SAC members; materials provided. Call Eve at 983-2653 for more info on classes or funding available for class fees. – SAC

Winter workshops on tap

The Arts Council’s program of winter workshops began Thursday, Nov. 8 with a free Intro to Drawing Materials presented by Eve Griffin. And there are other classes coming up soon:
• Eve will next present a free Intro to Painting Materials on Nov. 15 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the school shop. All ages and skill levels are welcome; materials provided. Eve's introductory lessons will be followed by drawing and painting classes through the winter.
• Knitting for Squares! is a 2-session beginner knitting class led by Samantha Richert held on Nov. 10 and Nov. 17 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Bites on Broadway. Admission is $12 for both knitting classes; $10 for SAC members; materials provided. Learn to cast on, knit, purl and finish simple squares.
• Leather Mask Making class presented by Tegan Baldwin on Nov. 17 and 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school shop; fee $20/$18 for SAC members. Call 983-2248 to reserve a spot.
