The Good Lovelies - You don't want to miss this fun mid-winter concert featuring The Good Lovelies, a sharp, sassy and funny, all-female Canadian folk/country music trio, on Saturday, February 23, at 7 p.m. at the AB Hall. You will witness textbook three-part harmony, constant instrument switching, and witty on-stage banter from the "Lovelies" who released their fifth album in 2012 and were awarded the 2010 JUNO for Roots/Traditional Album of the Year. The group will also be conducting a free vocal harmony workshop while they're in town (called Dottie at 983-2248 for more info and to register). 5th Annual Winter Film Festival - Catch these first-run films that won't be available elsewhere! A weekend pass makes a great Valentine's gift and supports the Skagway Arts Council! This year's theme centers on road trips with a little river thrown in. Cost is $5 per film or $20 for a weekend pass. Show your weekend pass at each film and get your name entered into a drawing for a chance to win a seat in the V.I.P. recliner for the duration of that film! Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Art Classes/Clay Workshop- Painting and Drawing classes with Eve Griffin: Alternating Mondays through February, 6:30 p.m. in the school science room. $7 ($5 for members). Fused Glass Classes (preregistration required) -Fused Glass, Little Things: Choose from many possible projects and make several items in one class! Colorful earrings, pendants, magnets, bracelets, bottle stoppers and more! Saturdays 2/9, 3/2, 3/16. 3-5 p.m. $8-$25 each. All ages welcome. Go Bigger, Fused Glass Class: Beginners or experienced glass makers can jump right in and make a plate or bowl! This class will teach you all you need to know about designing, fusing and slumping glass. Use of glass powders, frit and stringer will be explored. Saturdays 2/23, 3/9, 3/23. 3-5 p.m. $58-$100.
